The nineteen century is characterized by some of the most important inventions in the chemical industry. This section cities 10 inventions and discoveries that are important today. And finally I leave a timeline showing these inventions.
-In 1807, Berzelius proposed the term of organic substances, those characteristics of living beings. This invention has done much since providing this classification we can now distinguish organic from inorganic substances.
- In 1828, was synthesized the urea from ammonium cyanate. Currently this serves as fertilizer provides nitrogen to the plant.
- In 1834, Friedrich Runge was able to synthesize aniline. Aniline is an organic compound used to make paints, antioxidants, etc…
- In 1845, acetic acid was synthesized by carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Today, acetic acid has many uses in the home, such as cleaning, is also used in medicine.
- In 1854, in 1854, was synthesized tristearin by Pierre Berthelot. Tristearin is a glyceride.
- In 1856, William H Perkin develops aniline purple in color today is a high demand which is similar to magenta, was discovered accidentally.
- In 1866, Alfred Nobel, dynamite develops. Dynamite is an explosive composed of nitroglycerin and silicon dioxide. It's a mix gray and oily to the touch, considered a powerful explosive.
- In 1867, was synthesized artificial indigo by Baeyer.
- In 1868, Karl Graebe synthesized alizarin. Alizarin is an organic compound used in colorimetry.
- In 1869, was developed the first synthetic plastic, called celluloid. At present, the cellulose triacetate is being replaced by the polyester material as this is cheaper, but reduces image quality and projection.
Typical applications are celluloid toys, sanitary ware, household items and the arts to imitate ivory, tortoiseshell and coral.

nice research of discoveries in the XIX century, it has very interesting and important discoveries. ,I was interested in the discover of 1845, acetic acid was synthesized by carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Today, acetic acid has many uses in the home, such as cleaning, is also used in medicine.
ResponderEliminarand also this one: - In 1856, William H Perkin develops aniline purple in color today is a high demand which is similar to magenta, was discovered accidentally. especially this one cause it mentions how they discovered color purple <3
and good job with the image of the time line it's easy to understand and it mention important details...(:
